Blair Buchanan, director of special programs, reviewed the district's partnership with Tyler ISD to provide services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including site-based services at named campuses, itinerant support where staff come into Chapel Hill classrooms, and birth-to-age-2 supports required by law. Buchanan said the arrangement is renewed every three years and that Tyler ISD currently provides the required services to Chapel Hill students.
The board moved and approved the recommended renewal of the shared-services agreement for the Regional Day School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with Tyler ISD.
