FISD board approves consent agenda, hears district reports and recognizes staff and students

The Fredericksburg ISD Board of Trustees approved a consent agenda at the Sept. 9 meeting that included minutes from Aug. 12 and Aug. 26, 2024; general fund and special fund statements of revenues and expenditures; budget amendments; and statements for the School Nutrition, Debt Service and 2022 Bond funds. Brian Lehne moved to approve the consent agenda and Keri Hensley seconded; the motion passed unanimously — Yea: 7, Against: 0.
Earlier in the meeting the board heard district reports. Superintendent Joe Rodriguez, Ed.D., provided an update; administration presented a LAN update and Miss Aven Ottmers gave a student update. Staff summarized STAAR/EOC results and a preliminary A–F accountability report. The board also recognized a Billie Pride honoree and presented student and staff attendance awards (presenters: Lori Maxcey and Jill Minshew).
