Campus leaders updated trustees on recent activities and enrollment figures at the Feb. 16 meeting. Presenters Mrs. Blackwell (elementary), Mrs. Owens (middle school) and Mr. Rodriguez (high school) reported current campus enrollments: Elementary 368, Middle 178, High School 227, for a district total listed as 773 in one part of the presentation and a snapshot of 785 reported elsewhere in the superintendent's materials.
Activities highlighted included UIL award ceremonies at elementary and middle campuses, a Share the Love of Reading literacy night on Feb. 9, middle-school students advancing to a regional spelling bee, cheer tryouts scheduled in March, and the high school's participation in the San Antonio Stock Show Feb. 26'Mar. 1. Superintendent Nicci Cook also reported validation of TIA designations for 13 teachers and noted schedule adjustments to make up time lost to weather.
