At a special called meeting May 18, 2026, the Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees voted 6–0 to non-renew the term employment contract of Kelly Hogan at the end of the 2025–26 contract year. The vote came after the board met in closed session under provisions of the Texas Government Code, Chapter 551. Vice President Angie Hanan made the motion and Dr. Shirley Rose-Gilliam seconded it.
The motion recorded in the minutes states the Board authorized “the Superintendent or his designee to notify the employee of the Board's action consistent with applicable laws and District policy.” The Board reconvened in open session at 5:06 p.m. and the vote listing those in favor as Kristin Tassin, Angie Hanan, Shirley Rose-Gilliam, Adam Schoof, Afshi Charania and Angie Wierzbicki passed with none opposed.
