Board approves design for new Central Office; playground renovation set for Summer 2026

Claycomb Associates Architects presented 95% construction drawings for a new Fort Sam Houston ISD Central Office across from the current location and adjacent to the Kiehle Technology building. Cody Holt, Principal at Claycomb, told the board the proposed construction duration is 16 months and that the elementary playground renovation is expected to be completed by Summer 2026.
Following the presentation, Board Member Rebecca A. Zinnante moved to approve the design; Vice President COL (R) Aaron J. Braxton II seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously. The board also confirmed it will receive project renderings for the playground and will post drawings for the Central Office project prior to construction.
