Lori Fuller summarized the district’s Emergent Bilingual (formerly ESL) program for 2024–25. The district served 46 English‑learner students (21 at the elementary campus and 26 at the secondary campus) using pull‑out and push‑in support aligned with ELPS. TELPAS (Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System) testing was administered between March 1 and 14, 2025; state summative results were not yet available at the time of the presentation.
Fuller said Region 20 conducted a program audit focused on record‑keeping and procedures; the audit flagged organizational improvements (cumulative folders, years in U.S. schools tracking) and highlighted strengths in instructional strategies and TELPAS preparation. Four students were reclassified from active to monitoring during the reporting year.
