Fort Bend ISD’s May 11 consent materials proposed a partnership with Edmentum to provide instructional and programmatic support for the district’s virtual high school under a cooperative contract with TIPS, with a not-to-exceed amount of $4,200,000 over a five-year period.
The Edmentum line item was included in the consent agenda (item 9.L.12). Trustee Heyliger moved and Trustee Charania seconded approval of the consent agenda with certain items removed; the motion carried unanimously, which included authorization for the superintendent to negotiate and execute the Edmentum agreement through June 2031 as described in the packet. The minutes record the vendor, scope (virtual high-school instructional/programmatic support) and the not-to-exceed figure, but contain no further discussion in open session.
