Fort Bend ISD approves cybersecurity grant resolutions and an interlocal RSOC agreement with UT

The board also approved a resolution to apply for a Criminal Justice (Edward Byrne Memorial JAG) grant to implement an Officer Wellness & Readiness Program (grant number 58213-01). The resolutions delegate application and signature authority to the superintendent and designate a financial officer for grantee reporting.
In open session the board approved an Interlocal Contract with The University of Texas at Austin to participate in the RSOC and authorized the superintendent to execute the agreement. The contract text included in the packet states RSOC services are currently funded by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and provided at no charge to participants while DIR funding continues; it also contains FERPA, confidentiality and termination provisions.
