The Floydada Collegiate ISD Board of Trustees swore in three trustees elected May 2, 2026 and completed a reorganization of board officers for the 2026–27 year at its May 12 regular meeting.
Due to no opposition in the May 2 election, Gracie Diaz (District 3), Randell Sims (District 5) and Randy Moore (At‑Large) were sworn in as trustees. The board subsequently voted on officer nominations: a motion by Brianne Glasscock, seconded by Eric Smith, to nominate Gracie Diaz as vice president passed with six yeas and one recorded abstention “with conflict” for Diaz. Eric Smith’s motion to nominate Roger Hughes as board president, seconded by Randy Moore, passed with six yeas and one recorded abstention “with conflict” for Hughes. Eric Smith also nominated Brianne Glasscock as board secretary; that motion passed with six yeas and one recorded abstention “with conflict” for Glasscock.
The votes were recorded in open session as part of the reorganization sequence. The board did not record any dissenting votes against the three officer nominations.
