Trustees adopt 2025–26 goals, TASB policy updates and amendment to District of Innovation Plan

The Flatonia ISD board approved the district and campus goals for 2025–26, adopted TASB policy updates EHDB and EHDC, and approved an amendment to the District of Innovation Plan to retain the existing grievance policy under new SB12 requirements.
The board approved the 2025–2026 district and campus goals following committee meetings held Sept. 29, 2025. Robin Branecky presented the goals, noting they are similar to the prior year and that the phrase "21st Century" had been removed from the text after a board query. Trustee Dan Sullivan moved approval; Trustee Ashley Beeman seconded and the motion passed.
Trustees also approved TASB policy updates EHDB and EHDC concerning alternative methods for earning credit by exam and acknowledged an attached parental form required before students may test. Finally, administration recommended an amendment to the District of Innovation Plan in light of SB12 that keeps the district's current grievance policy (rather than adopting an extended-time option); the board approved the resolution. Votes on the TASB updates and the DOI amendment were recorded 5-0.
