The Flatonia ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously Nov. 10 to buy a Ford Expedition Max from Chuck Brown Ford of Schulenburg for $65,532.87 to replace the 2018 Suburban, Business Manager Rodney Stryk told trustees. The 2018 Suburban will be given to Special Education so staff can leave car seats in the vehicle for students who require them, Stryk said.
Dan Sullivan moved to approve the purchase; Ashley Beeman seconded. The motion passed 6-0 with one trustee absent. Stryk presented three bids and explained the district selected a Suburban/Expedition-style vehicle because the additional rear space better accommodates child car seats and student transport needs.
