Flatonia ISD Business Manager Rodney Stryk presented the district's third-quarter investment report and told the board the district is "currently getting a 4% interest rate," which he characterized as favorable. Stryk projected that if conditions continue the district could have about $9.5 million in the fund balance this year. Trustees voted to approve the report.
Trustees did not propose changes to investment strategy at the meeting; Stryk's comments framed the approval as routine financial oversight. Approval was moved by Trustee Dan Sullivan and seconded by Trustee Ashley Beeman.
