The Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees on April 13 approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) from Pogue Construction for the elementary portion of the district’s 2025 bond project. Trustee John Fryer moved to approve the GMP of $527,546 for the base scope and $830,343 including Alternate #1; the motion passed 7-0.
James Pierson and Bradley Dorer of Pogue Construction presented the bid documents showing the base scope includes a secure vestibule and a front awning. The east-side awning was listed as an alternate that adds $302,797, bringing the combined total to $830,343. “I move to approve the Pogue Construction Guaranteed Maximum Price for the elementary bond project for (1) $527,546 for the base bid amount. and (2) $830,343, which includes Alternate #1,” the motion record shows.
Board members asked questions during the presentation; the trustees voted without recorded objections. The approval authorizes staff to proceed with contracting under the approved GMP and to implement the secure vestibule and front awning work in the scope approved by the board. No timeline changes or additional funding sources were specified at the meeting.
