Fruitvale ISD sets proposed tax rate at 0.9552 and continues budget workshop

Business Manager Wendy Milam reviewed estimated revenues and expenses during the district's 2025–26 budget workshop, noting certified property values were not yet available and HB 2 guidance was still forthcoming. The board set a proposed tax rate of 0.7552 for Maintenance & Operations and 0.2000 for Debt Service for a total rate of 0.9552; the motion was made by Jason Brown and seconded by Charles Lacy and carried.
The board also set the public meeting on the proposed 2025–26 tax rate and budget to coincide with the regular August meeting; the handout recorded the date as August 21, 2026 and was noted as a corrected date on the handout. Administration will finalize estimates when certified property values and HB 2 guidance are available.
