Gainesville Independent School District officials told the Safety and Security Committee on June 15 that the district earned a 100% campus pass rate on the 2025–2026 Intruder Detection Audit required by the Texas Education Agency, with zero findings and no required corrective actions. The committee met in the Small Board Room at 11:00 a.m.
The intruder detection audit is an unannounced, comprehensive assessment that evaluates exterior door security, access control procedures, visitor management, staff awareness and compliance with state school-safety requirements. According to the meeting record, the audit’s results require no corrective actions for any campus. The report to the committee did not include additional remedial items or a timeline for follow-up, and committee members recorded the result for their regular oversight file.
