Fruitvale ISD adopts dress code, HB 1481 cell‑phone policy and updates to handbooks
Summary

Secondary Principal Will Bosley presented updates to the student handbooks; the board approved multiple handbook items and related personnel calendars for 2025–26. The full handbook will be presented at the August meeting after TASB legislative updates are incorporated.
Specific actions included unanimous approval of the 2025–26 dress code (motion by Kim Pettiet), a unanimous vote to update the cell phone policy in line with HB 1481 (motion by Jason Brown), approval of the GT Handbook (motion by Kim Pettiet), confirmation of Threat Assessment Campus Teams (motion by Jason Brown), and adoption of the Professional Development Plan, the TTESS calendar and the TPESS appraisal calendar. The Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative interlocal agreement was also approved.
