Gainesville ISD approves MOU with ESC Region 11 for local Reading Academies training

The Gainesville ISD Board unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding with Education Service Center Region 11 to provide local implementation of the Texas Reading Academies on June 15.
Dana Dudenhoeffer, executive director of curriculum and instruction, told trustees the MOU fulfills House Bill 3 requirements and that districts choosing local implementation pay a flat fee of $12,000 for logistical, technological and content support; training will be delivered through the district’s Canvas learning-management system. The motion to approve carried 4-0.
