Gainesville ISD board awards junior high library furniture contract to Hertz Furniture

Administration told the board that seven vendors submitted proposals and that Hertz Furniture received the top score of 73 points based on cost, district experience, product quality, compliance with bid specifications and vendor support. Dr. Jon Hill, the district's director of finance, presented the evaluation and recommended award. Motion was made by Marvin Royal and seconded by Laura Otts; the motion carried unanimously, 4-0. The board roll call listed Otts, Clegg, Hardin and Royal as voting in favor.
