Garland ISD trustees unanimously approve broad consent agenda including Oncor easement and multiple MOUs

At its May 26 meeting the Garland ISD Board of Trustees approved a blanket consent agenda (7-0) that included an aerial easement with Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC at Homer B. Johnson Stadium, budget transfers for 2025–26 and multiple MOUs and contracts.
The Garland Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a broad consent agenda during its May 26, 2026 regular meeting, voting 7-0 to adopt a set of administrative and procurement items.
The consent package authorized a statutory write-off of delinquent taxes; approval of an aerial easement and right-of-way at Homer B. Johnson Stadium with Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC; budget transfers and amendments to the General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Student Nutrition Services Fund for the 2025–2026 school year; and a series of memoranda of understanding including agreements with Midwestern State University and the University of Texas–Dallas Teacher Development Center & UTeach Dallas. The board also approved disposal of buses, ratified an MOU with the City of Garland to provide summer meals at Garland recreation centers, and approved several purchase contracts and bids identified in the minutes.
According to the minutes, the motion was made by Trustee Wesley Johnson and seconded by Trustee Larry Glick; the board recorded votes as Mr. Beach—Aye; Mr. Johnson—Aye; Mr. Miller—Aye; Mr. Glick—Aye; Mr. Selders—Aye; Mrs. Stanley—Aye; Mrs. Griffin—Aye (7-0).
