Rodriguez Principal Stephanie Garcia described monthly parent coffees, assemblies and raffle giveaways; JFK Principal Jennifer Montelongo described a "back to school bash" on Aug. 14 and evening registration through 6 p.m. Santiago Garcia Principal Aiden Ojosa said the campus theme is based on Richard Paul Evans' The Spyglass and will use "SpyGlass and Compass" frameworks for vision and direction.
Principals emphasized friendly front-office staff, photo backdrops for family photos, free popcorn and small giveaways to encourage attendance. Several said teacher welcome breakfasts and "swag bags" are planned for staff during the first days of preparation.
