Edcouch-Elsa ISD principals report registration rates ranging from 72% to 98% ahead of school year

Ruben C. Rodriguez Elementary Principal Stephanie Garcia said the campus is "currently at 79% registered students" after phone calls, home visits and Truancy Officer outreach. John F. Kennedy Fine Arts Academy Principal Jennifer Montelongo reported 293 of 348 students registered (84%) and evening office hours to support parents.
LBD Elementary Principal Natalia said her campus reached about 98% registration and described home visits to the small remaining group of unregistered students. Carlos Truan Middle School Principal Jessica Mata reported roughly 96% registered and described in-person registration and outreach to encourage middle-school families. High school Principal Monica Kasprzinski said the high school's registration rose to about 1,339 students (roughly 88%) and credited targeted outreach with coaches, band and extracurricular staff.
Principals described a mix of strategies — phone calls, home visits, social media (ClassDojo, Thrillshare), evening registration hours and meet-the-teacher events — to finalize enrollments with the district aiming to minimize paper packets and increase online registration.
