During the Aug. 19 meeting, Interim Superintendent Mike Morrison and Director of Maintenance Matt McIntosh briefed trustees on safety and facilities matters. Morrison reported a corrective finding from an intruder-detection audit dated May 13, 2024; door sweep logs were submitted to the Texas Education Agency and the item was presented to the board for information.
McIntosh updated the board on ongoing maintenance projects: work at the Weldon Auditorium, the planned radio tower move, a press-box air-conditioning issue and progress on an Energy Management project. No formal vote was required for the project updates; the reports were informational and documented for ongoing implementation and oversight.
