Board approves superintendent contract, receives resignation and hire reports

After returning from closed session the Gladewater ISD Board approved Superintendent Rae Ann Patty’s contract by motion of Ross Morgan, seconded by Corina Arevalo; the motion passed 5–0. The superintendent had been named in the meeting notice and participated in the open session portions of the meeting.
Superintendent Patty also presented the board with a list of resignations the district had accepted and a separate list of recommended professional personnel hires; the board took no action on those personnel lists during this meeting but received the reports for the record.
