Gladewater ISD swears in trustees, retains board officers

The Gladewater ISD Board of Trustees administered oaths of office on June 22 for two board members following the May 2, 2026 election: Chris Thompson (Place 4; unopposed) and Corina Arevalo (Place 5). President Thompson presided and established a quorum at 6:00 p.m.
The board then considered reorganization and, by general consent and separate motions, re-elected the current officers. Chris Thompson was approved as Board President (motion by Garth Cockerell, seconded by Ross Morgan), Jeff Cook was approved as Vice President (motion by Chris Thompson, seconded by Ross Morgan) and Danielle Budro was approved as Secretary (motion by Garth Cockerell, seconded by Corina Arevalo). Each motion passed on recorded votes with two trustees absent.
