Gladewater ISD Board adopts 2026–27 budget after public review

The Gladewater ISD Board of Trustees on June 22 adopted the district’s proposed 2026–2027 budget following a public meeting and presentation by Chief Financial Officer Candy Keller. The board approved the budget on a recorded vote of 5–0 with two members absent; the motion to adopt was made by Garth Cockerell and seconded by Ross Morgan.
CFO Candy Keller reviewed budget expenditures, the cash-in-bank and investment reports and a utilities summary during the public meeting portion of the agenda. No formal action was taken during the public comment portion; the formal adoption vote occurred later in the meeting. The adoption followed additional finance items the board approved earlier, including Fund 199 and Fund 240 amendments tied to year-end reclassifications and increased CTE revenue per TEA.
