Gatesville ISD to retain Singleton & Clark for FY26 audit at $37,000 total price

Assistant Superintendent of Finance LeighAnn Goodwin recommended continuing the district's engagement with Singleton & Clark for the FY26 financial audit, noting the district moved to the firm from Lott Vernon through an RFP process in FY25 and had a productive working relationship. Goodwin stated the pricing: "a base price of $34,000 for the statement and basic procedures plus $3,000 for each federal single audit (for us is usually only 1) for a total of $37,000." The board approved the recommendation by a 5–0 vote with two absences.
Goodwin told trustees the district had "great success with Singleton & Clark" during the prior year and recommended continuing the partnership for FY26. No alternative firms or audit scope changes were discussed during the public session.
