Board approves MOU with Temple College to continue Texas Bioscience Institute dual-credit access

Dr. Scott Harper, assistant superintendent for academics and student services, presented a Memorandum of Understanding between Gatesville ISD and Temple College to continue dual-credit opportunities through the Texas Bioscience Institute (TBI). He told trustees the partnership remains small but active: "We currently have two students enrolled in this program."
Harper recommended approval to preserve the pathway for eligible high-school students to earn college coursework credits while in high school. The board approved the MOU by unanimous vote (motion by Linda Maxwell, seconded by Emily Wuenschel). The motion allows the district to continue offering dual-credit bioscience coursework under TBI, maintaining access for students who meet eligibility requirements.
