The Chester Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the 2026–27 Student Code of Conduct at its July 20 meeting. Jesse Gay moved for approval and Timber Wright seconded; the motion passed unanimously with the four present trustees recorded as voting aye.
During the same meeting the board also voted to table consideration of the 2026–27 Gifted and Talented Program Handbook. Jesse Gay moved to table the item, Timber Wright seconded, and the motion to table passed 4-0. The minutes do not record a reason for tabling or a new date for consideration.
