County staff report failed underground tank at Justice Center and other facility maintenance needs

Miller reported a $1,248 quote from KC Rooter Sewer & Drain to repair washing machine waste drains at the Justice Center and noted outstanding HVAC work such as trim around enclosures and air duct detector installations. He said greenhouse heating units installed under warranty may not keep up with forecast cold temperatures and asked permission to trade in a grapple bucket for a heavy‑duty bucket for the skid steer and to sell or trade the white maintenance truck and van to fund a replacement. Commissioners requested quotes for window and roof replacement at the county home and for the concrete ramp at the courthouse.
The board did not take immediate action beyond requesting cost estimates and directed Miller to return with quotes for the various options and repairs.
