"So more than 12,000,000 in grants towards youth," he said, summarizing the juvenile justice oversight committee’s awards for behavioral health, substance-abuse services and education-transition programs.
Matt said the department is also improving data collections in partnership with the Office of Judicial Administration and DCF to better track youth across systems and to calculate recidivism reliably. The Cabinet acknowledged these updates and had no further questions.
