Union leaders, federal and state lawmakers join National Night Out

Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, who said she represents Union in New Jersey's 10th Congressional District, thanked the mayor and township and praised the police and fire departments for organizing the evening. Senator Joe Crichton also addressed the crowd and turned the program over to Police Director Chris Donnelly. Organizers described the event as an opportunity for residents to meet officers, enjoy music and food, and for children to use bouncy houses.
The remarks emphasized the event's role in promoting trust between residents and public-safety agencies. Mayor Frazier acknowledged municipal staff, including township administrator Don Travesano, and closed by handing the microphone to Deputy Mayor Joseph Florio, who was honored for his years of service.
