Hale Center ISD trustees re-elect Pam Johnson as president; Chandler and McGann keep leadership roles

Pam Johnson was re-elected president of the Hale Center ISD Board of Trustees during the district’s regular called meeting on May 11, 2026. The board also re-elected Paul Chandler as vice president and Troy McGann as secretary; the three officer elections were unanimous, 7–0.
The Oath of Office was administered to newly elected trustee Diana Rangel and to returning trustee Troy McGann, formally seating both members for the new term. Nominations were opened by district staff and motions to close nominations and elect by acclamation carried without opposition. The reorganizational actions occurred early in the meeting as part of the board’s statutory organization process.
The board proceeded from organization into routine consent and action items, including approval of the April 14, 2026 minutes and a set of financial and operational motions. The meeting later moved into a closed session under Texas Government Code §551.072 to discuss real property before adjourning at 8:00 p.m.
