Groesbeck ISD trustees approved a series of resolutions to move forward with the district's Baseball/Softball Field Project and Tennis Courts Project. Board members voted to select job order contracting as the procurement method and designated The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) as the cooperative to source job order contractors.
The board selected Symmetry Sports, LLC as the TIPS vendor for the Baseball/Softball Field Project and Pro Tech Track & Tennis, LP as the TIPS vendor for the Tennis Courts Project; it also approved Dan Franklin of Franklin Geotechnical, LLC as the geotechnical engineer for the turf project and Bill Graham of Graham-Martin, Ltd. as the engineer for the tennis project. Motions to adopt each resolution passed unanimously.
Board members also passed a resolution delegating authority to the superintendent to negotiate necessary construction contracts for those projects, subject to final board approval. A separate agenda item considering the owner-CMAR agreement with Champco, Inc. related to the district's 2025 Bond Projects was tabled for later consideration.
