G-PISD board approves multiple personnel hires and one proposed nonrenewal

The Gregory-Portland ISD Board of Trustees approved several personnel actions at its March 30, 2026 meeting, including hiring an Executive Director of Operations and authorizing employment contracts for listed administrators for the 2026–27 school year. Nicole Nolen, board member, moved to approve the superintendent’s recommendation for the Executive Director of Operations; Zachary Simmons seconded the motion, which carried 7–0.
The Board also voted 7–0 to authorize the superintendent to execute contracts for administrative personnel as presented and, separately, to propose the nonrenewal of the term contract for an employee listed on the superintendent’s recommended nonrenewal list effective at the end of the 2025–26 contract year. The board directed the superintendent to provide required notice to the affected employee as required by law.
