At the April 20 meeting the board recognized multiple student achievements across Granbury High School and district campuses and announced community donations totaling $48,489.50.
Items highlighted included Lamar Awards recipients Carey Jo Davis and Viola Allen; Shottenkirk Senior of the Month Elyse Jernigan; 5A state powerlifting qualifiers Estrella Diaz, Kay Goodner, Gavin Osko and Gary Osko; GHS Law Enforcement and Forensic Student Association state finalists; and GHS UIL Debate state finalists. The board read a list of graduates from the Leap Academy and other campus recognitions during the Achievement Spotlight portion of the agenda.
The board also acknowledged community donations from local businesses and individuals that the agenda records as totaling $48,489.50, to be used in district activities as specified by donors and district policy.
