Public Works staff described the annual Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) pavement patching program and identified seven locations proposed for repairs. Bids opened July 14 and six bids were received; Brothers Asphalt submitted the lowest responsible bid at $145,016.40. Staff recommended awarding the construction contract to Brothers Asphalt and adjusting the planned patch areas to stay within the $200,000 appropriation the village set in December 2025.
"Brother Asphalt was the lowest submitted, responsible bidder at a $145,016.40," staff said. The board approved the resolution on a roll call vote (6–0). The project will be adjusted to match the available MFT appropriation and the contractor agreed to extend bid prices for additional pavement patching locations if required.
Funding and next steps: the village appropriated $200,000 of MFT funds for the program; staff will finalize the specific patch locations and manage the scope to stay at or below the appropriation.
