The Hallettsville Independent School District board opened its Sept. 9 regular meeting with recognitions for two community partners. TDECU — Hallettsville Branch and Lavaca Medical Center were acknowledged for support to the district; Jo Beth Tieken, Kim Hairell and Stephanie Mertz received TASB recognition certificates tied to the TDECU acknowledgement, and Steve Bowen, James Fenner, Holly Cliffe and Marlene Irvin received TASB certificates in connection with the Lavaca Medical Center recognition.
Board President Brian Smith called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and noted that the meeting notice had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. The recognitions were presented during the meeting's opening segment; no formal board action was recorded on the recognitions.
