The Groesbeck ISD Board on April 21 approved several operational items: a proposed HVAC purchase for Enge-Washington Intermediate School estimated at about $280,000 to replace aging equipment (48 units and 12 split units); authorization for the superintendent to begin a laptop replacement rotation funded from Fund 199; and delegated authority to hire personnel and issue contracts between April 22 and August 31, 2026.
The board approved the consent agenda — which included budget reports, the Interquest Detection Canines Agreement, pay dates and other routine items — and after an executive session approved hires, resignations and contracts by motion. In superintendent comments, staff reported early voting for the May 2 election, "student attendance is at 95.37%, and enrollment is 1440." The meeting adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
