Following executive session June 17, the Steward Elementary School District No. 220 board approved several personnel and program actions by roll-call votes of all ayes. The board accepted the retirement of Jeannette Rod, effective in June 2027, and approved hiring a permanent substitute teacher to cover a fall maternity leave (motions by Bethany Drendel, seconded by Jen Kraemer).
The board also accepted the superintendent contract effective Aug. 1, 2025 and terminating no later than June 30, 2027; the minutes do not specify the superintendent’s name. Finally, the board approved moving forward with a preschool schedule for FY27 with a maximum enrollment of eight students. Each action was approved following executive-session consideration and recorded as passed by roll-call vote.
