The FIRST report is the state-required financial integrity filing used by the Texas Education Agency to assess local educational agencies' financial status and controls. Board approval during the public hearing completes the local step of accepting the report; the board did not record additional discussion or conditions attached to the approval in the meeting minutes. The approval was recorded during the public hearing portion of the meeting, which began at 7:01 PM.
The board took no separate action in open session to amend the report at the meeting. Next procedural steps typically involve filing the approved report with the agency and maintaining documentation in district records.
