Hardin‑Jefferson ISD board approves 2025–26 Student Code of Conduct

The Hardin‑Jefferson ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Aug. 11 to approve the district’s 2025–2026 Student Code of Conduct.
Trustee Jonathan Haskett, Jr. moved to approve the policy "approving the 2025-2026 Student Code of Conduct as presented," and Trustee Adam Leger seconded the motion. The board recorded yeas from Jason Dickerson, Mary East, Jonathan Haskett, Jr. and Adam Leger; there were no nays and the motion passed.
No members of the public signed up to speak during the public forum on the record. The approval was taken during a special meeting called to order by Vice President Jason Dickerson at 8:06 AM and adjourned at 8:11 AM. The board did not record further amendments to the Code of Conduct at this meeting.
The superintendent, Brad McEachern, later outlined items expected on the agenda for the regular meeting scheduled for Aug. 18, 2025.
