Council forms committee to refine micro-mobility (e-bike) ordinance with police input

The chief of police joined the discussion, emphasizing enforcement realities and the need to place responsibility on parents and owners for modifications and unlawful use.
Council agreed to assemble a group of aldermen and police department representatives to finalize verbiage, review relevant state statutes, and bring a recommended ordinance back to the council for consideration. The motion passed with volunteers named for the working group.
