The Hallettsville Independent School District Board voted unanimously Aug. 12 to adopt an Order Authorizing the Issuance, Sale and Delivery of Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2024, moving the district forward with a capital financing plan.
Jake Lawrence of Government Capital Securities Corporation presented bond-related financial information to the Board before the vote. The Board then approved an order calling a school building bond election to be held on Nov. 5, 2024. The Board also approved a Joint Election Agreement with Ezzell ISD, Vysehrad ISD and Lavaca County to have the Lavaca County Elections Administrator conduct the Nov. 5 election. Motions on both the bond order and the election passed 6-0.
