Trustees Philip Rothe (Board President), Carey Frazier, Joel Gonzales, Blake Halbardier and Craig Luedke were present at the start; Ricky Ruiz and Steven Tapia were initially absent.
The board approved the April 20, 2026 meeting minutes by motion (moved by Craig Luedke, seconded by Joel Gonzales). After handling consent business, the board canvassed and declared the results of the May 2 bond election and later entered closed session at 5:09 p.m. under Tex. Govt. Code Secs. 551.071 and 551.074. Trustee Ricky Ruiz arrived at 5:08 p.m.; Trustee Steven Tapia arrived at 6:00 p.m. The board exited closed session at 6:59 p.m., approved teacher contract recommendations, and adjourned at 6:59 p.m. The minutes are signed/approved by Secretary Carey Arents and the Board President.
