The Salt Creek School District 48 Board of Education voted unanimously Aug. 14 to adopt a set of updated policies reviewed by its Policy Committee and summarized in Press Plus Issue 118. The packet covered governance, operational, personnel, instructional and student sections, including policies 2:260 (Uniform Grievance), 2:265 (Title IX Grievance Procedure), 4:15 (Identity Protection) and multiple student conduct and safety policies in Section 7.
Board member Mr. Blair moved the adoption, which was seconded by Mr. Van De Velde and approved on a roll-call vote with Mrs. Stacy Rattana recorded as absent. Dr. Zaher told the board the packet had been vetted by the committee and that Mr. Blair and Mr. Kielminski were available to provide additional details. The board recorded no nay votes.
