Henderson ISD board approves budget amendments, reallocates insurance proceeds

Business officer Nikki Warner presented budget amendments on Feb. 10 to reflect insurance proceeds of $30,249 for bus repairs and to reallocate previously budgeted E-Rate networking project costs into the appropriate function. Warner said campuses were also planning end-of-year and start-of-year purchases that required internal reallocation. The board approved the amendments unanimously; motion by Jean Williams, second by Loy Dorsey.
Trustees were told the amendments would not change the district's overall bottom line but ensure accounting records reflect actual spending categories. Administration will process the reallocations and report as part of routine financial updates.
