The Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda on April 13, 2026, which included two corporate donations and multiple procurement awards.
The board accepted a $15,000 donation designated by ExxonMobil to the GCCISD Education Foundation for Partners in Education and a $5,000 donation designated by Niagara for a Hispanic Outreach Initiative. "The Board approved the donation from Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation on behalf of ExxonMobil in the amount of $15,000 for Partners in Education support," the minutes state.
Other consent items approved included proposed revisions to Board Policy FDA(LOCAL) on Admissions Interdistrict Transfers; certification of the Instructional Allotment and Provision of Instructional Materials for 2026–2027; delegation of authority to Superintendent Dr. Joe Rodriguez to make classroom teacher hires in May; award of CSP #26-011 for HVAC rooftop replacement at Harlem Elementary; award of CSP #26-010 for maintenance/building supplies and materials (one year with four option-year renewals); and award of RFP26-009 for automotive repair and collision services. The board also approved superintendent expenditures and tax refunds under Section 31.11 of the State Property Code.
The motion to approve consent items one through ten passed with the trustees present voting in favor, as recorded in the minutes.
