The Goliad ISD Board of Trustees approved Lone Star Governance progress measures and monitoring updates for Goal 3 (College, Career and Military Readiness), Goal 4 (Secondary Math) and Superintendent Constraint 3 (Communication) at its Aug. 19 meeting.
LSG coach Lisa Moya presented meeting-time tracking and explained that minutes for three meetings yielded about 21 minutes on student outcomes for one tracked meeting; Charles Henke, high school principal, presented the CCMR update. Superintendent Holly Lyon reported she had exceeded the communication constraint with 153 notifications. Jason Howard moved to approve the progress updates; Emika Moya seconded and the motion carried 6-0 with one absence.
The approvals keep the district on its LSG monitoring schedule; trustees emphasized continued focus on student outcomes and data-based monitoring going forward.
