Director of Public Infrastructure Dave Toepper told the board that 5-Star Energy had begun a lead service line replacement project the day of the meeting.
"5-Star Energy has begun lead service line replacement project today," Toepper said. The meeting record lists that statement under departmental reports; no schedule, project scope or funding breakdown was provided at the meeting.
Trustee Thurmond later thanked public works employees Ed, Vince and Roy for their work during extended water-main repairs during sub-zero weather on Jan. 27, noting crews worked more than 24 hours to restore service.
The board did not take any immediate action on the replacement project; residents seeking details about schedule or service disruptions were not given a date in the meeting record and were advised to contact the Public Infrastructure office for updates.
