The Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees voted on Feb. 3 to approve the district's Alternate Education Campus, to be named JISD Achieve Academy. The item was presented by Laura Buckley; Trustee Tamara Dozier moved approval and Trustee Ginger Martinez seconded.
The minutes state the motion to approve the Alternate Education Campus (AEC), "JISD Achieve Academy," passed unanimously. The campus approval preceded further action to secure portables and related infrastructure for the program.
Board members moved from the approval of the campus to discussion of facility and infrastructure needs; those funding decisions were addressed in a separate motion later in the meeting.
